This is already solid, but here’s a slightly punchier version with better flow and a sharper ending:
Think your AirPods sound better with your iPhone? It’s not in your head.
Listened to Umbrella on my way to work. Switched from iPhone to Mac.
Suddenly, it sounded like a tin can.
Checked my settings.
🎵 Spotify? Highest quality.
📱 Tried my iPhone again? Yep, way better.
🔄 Switched back & forth a dozen times to confirm.
Curious (and mildly furious), I went down a Reddit Rabbit Hole™…
Turns out, it happens when your AirPods are BOTH the speaker and the mic.
Your connection can’t handle the bandwidth, so it downgrades to low-quality audio. 🤯
Here’s the fix:
1️⃣ Go to System Settings >> Sound.
2️⃣ Change “sound input” to your Mac’s built-in mic.
Boom. High-res audio restored.
Feels like realizing I’ve worn my underwear backwards my whole life.
What’s a dumb little hack that saved you way more frustration than it should have?
